Frequently asked questions
How do I charge my EV with ChargeLink?
Download ChargeLink, sign in with your phone number (OTP code) or your Zalo account, and top up points to your account.
At the station, plug the connector into your car, scan the QR code on the charger in the app and confirm. The app shows energy, power and cost throughout the session. When you have enough, stop charging in the app; the cost is deducted from your points balance and the receipt appears right away.
How is the charging price calculated? Does it change by time of day?
The charging service is priced by the energy delivered to your vehicle (kWh) and the time band, listed in Vietnamese dong:
Off-peak: 22:00–04:00 every day. Normal: 04:00–09:30, 11:30–17:00 and 20:00–22:00 Monday to Saturday; 04:00–22:00 on Sunday. Peak: 09:30–11:30 and 17:00–20:00 Monday to Saturday.
Some stations add a service or parking fee, and prices can differ by station, connector type and power. Every price is shown on the station page before you start.
How can I pay? Can I use a Vietnamese bank card?
Sessions are paid with prepaid ChargeLink points (1 point = 1 VND). Top up with MoMo, with VNPay, or by QR bank transfer (PayOS) from your banking app — so you can pay from a Vietnamese bank account or card without needing an e-wallet.
Points can only be used for charging on ChargeLink; they cannot be cashed out or transferred to another account. Some payment gateways charge a transaction fee, which is shown before you confirm.
How do I get a VAT invoice?
Open VAT details in the app, add your personal or company invoice details (with tax code) and set them as default. After each session an e-invoice is issued and delivered in the app and/or by email; view the PDF or look it up from your charging history.
At some partner stations the VAT invoice is issued by the partner on site — the app says so clearly on the station page and during the session.
My car uses AC/DC, CCS2 or Type 2 — how do I know a station fits?
The station details page shows the connector type, power and availability of every connector. In Vietnam, DC fast charging commonly uses CCS2 and AC charging usually uses Type 2.
Add your vehicle and its charging port in the app, then compare with the station page before you go so you pick the right connector.
Does ChargeLink work for electric cars and electric scooters?
You can register several vehicle types in the app: cars, electric scooters and motorbikes, buses and trucks. You can charge at any charger whose connector matches the charging port on your vehicle.
Many electric scooters only charge with a portable charger plugged into a regular socket, so they cannot use car chargers — check your vehicle’s port and the station page before you go.
Are stations open 24/7?
Each station’s opening hours are shown in the app, and many stations are open 24/7. The map also shows how many connectors are free so you can choose before you set off.
What if a session fails or I am charged incorrectly?
Contact ChargeLink on Zalo or Messenger from the app, or email contact@chargelink.vn, with the time and station. Failed transactions are checked and handled under ChargeLink’s Terms & Conditions and refund policy.
